Claude Cohen-Tannoudji describes quantum mechanics as an essential means of understanding the microscopic world. He charts the amazing advances made in the last four decades which have enabled us to control and manipulate quantum systems.
Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University was founded in 1972 as the first technological university in India. Named after the first Prime Minister of India, the university has 17 constituent and 616 affiliate colleges. It aims to strengthen and improve the standards of technological education, making it relevant to the rural and industrial development of the country.
Hyderabad is the capital of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh and boasts a population of over 4 million. Well-known for its rich history, the city has more recently emerged as a modern hub of Information Technology, ITES and Biotechnology industries.
